Being a Concert Pianist (In a Nutshell)

We won’t regale you with the greatness, the shiny piano, and the roses being thrown onstage before thousands of adoring fans. Those things rarely happen nowadays, especially to concert pianists. Being a Concert Pianist is an amazing job, true. However it is not the easiest thing in the world. If it really is your dream to become one, then you know nobody can stop you. So before you begin your journey, here are a few things you need to learn about being a concert pianist.

A Concert Pianist is Never Born.

Oh sure, you can argue that some might as well have been born with a piano stuck to their fingers. However, the truth is that everyone is born a helpless little infant. Concert pianists are made through hard work, sacrifice, and passion. It’s not enough to have a heart for the job. If all you have is a heart, then might as well just sit and watch the greats play before you. You need to be better, focused, and determined to reach that elusive title.

A Concert Pianist Aims to Be Better…Always

There are hundreds of thousands of piano schools in one country, let alone the whole world. Every other kid wants to learn how to play the piano. However, concert pianists go beyond just wanting to learn. Concert pianists never stop learning new techniques, thus their talent never grows old. If they stop learning, then they wouldn’t be so different from every other regular pianist in the world.

A Concert Pianist is Patient

The road to becoming a concert pianist is not the easiest. The reality is, they are not the most in demand job in the world. It is a cut-throat world where only the best survive, become known, get the shiny pianos and roses and adoring fans. So what has patience got to do with all of this? Everyone has to start at the bottom. Work your way to the top! Also, a few well-connected friends would be great.Reference taken from here http://celinegaurierjoubert.co.uk/ .
